History of school


Khirkiya mission land was purchased in 1995 by Rev. Fr. Joseph P.P with the permission of the Archbishop Most. Rev Pascal Toppno SJ. In 1996 Rev. Fr. Shaji E was appointed to look after the land and the boundary wall work.  He operated the work staying in Harda.  There after Fr. Joy Thomas was appointed as the station in charge having his residence in Harda.  The Parish House was constructed in the year 2000 and inaugurated by Bishop Pascal Toppno.  In  the year 2002 Fr. Joy Thomas started St. Jude’s Co-ed School from K.G.I with 46 children.  Holy family sisters of Shantidhara Province, Delhi were invited to assist the Parish Priest in the apostolate of education and social work.  In 2008 Fr. Dileep Minj was appointed as the Parish Priest, Principal and Manager of the Station.  Since 2009 onwards all the four sisters are engaged in the school for teaching ministry.  In the year 2014 Rev. Fr. Abraham V.P was appointed as the Station in charge and the Principal of the school.  Today the school has reached up to class XII.  The total strength of the school is 1650. The students study in the school are from 15 villages in around Khirkiya.  The total teaching staff 48 and non teaching staff 04 and the co-workers 16.  At Present Rev. Fr. Francis Maria Joseph is the Principal of the school appointed by the Archbishop Most. Rev Leo Cornelio Svd.
